Poetry Club: A Long Road Home: A Virtual Poetry Reading with Brian Simoneau

Friday, September 104:00—5:00 PMVirtual EventWorcester, MA, 01608

Gathered over more than a decade, exploring landscapes from California to Boston, the poems in Brian Simoneau’s second poetry collection attempt to make seen the smallest details, the moments that too easily escape our notice, the everyday experiences that make us part of something larger. No Small Comfort, released by Black Lawrence Press in June, brings together poems that grapple with loss and nostalgia, with fatherhood and anxiety, with what it means to make a home in a constantly changing world. Brian is also the author of River Bound, selected by poet Arthur Smith for the 2013 De Novo Prize. His poems have been featured on Poetry Daily, Poets.org, and Verse Daily, and they have appeared in journals including Cincinnati Review, Colorado Review, Crazyhorse, The Georgia Review, and Salamander. Originally from Lowell, Massachusetts, Brian teaches Creative Writing and English at Milton Academy and lives near Boston with his family.
