Owl Pellet Dissection

Monday, June 2110:00—11:00 AMTatnuck Magnet Branch1083 Pleasant St, Worcester, MA, 01602

Ages 7 and up. Dissect your very own sterilized owl pellet and see if you can determine what prey your owl ate last. Owls produce a cylindrical pellet that contains undigested remains from their last meal which is usually bones, fur, or feathers. Learn about anatomy as we piece together the remains using different skeletal graphs. Will you find a mouse femur or a vole fibula? Program will be held outdoors, and will be rescheduled in the event of rain. Masks and social distancing required. Please register each child to ensure there are enough kits.
