Wednesday, June 234:00—5:00 PMBurncoat Branch Library526 Burncoat Street, Worcester, MA, 01606

Ages 7 and up. Dissect your very own sterilized owl pellet and see if you can determine what prey your owl ate last. Owls produce a cylindrical pellet that contains undigested remains from their last meal which usually consists of bones, fur, or feathers. Learn about anatomy, ecosystems, and the food web as we piece together the remains using different skeletal graphs. Will you find a mouse femur or a vole fibula? Masks and social distancing required. Program will be held outdoors, and will be rescheduled in the event of rain. Masks and social distancing required. Please register each child to ensure there are enough kits.
