Are you a recent immigrant or refugee who arrived in the United States in the last five years and have a foreign college degree and work experience, and you have questions on how to build your career?
Join us for our Orientation Workshop for Foreign-Trained Professionals! We are bringing in experts to answer questions and provide career and non-career resources that will help recent immigrants and refugees build on their foreign training to reach their potential in Massachusetts. Come learn more about how to navigate the U.S. systems, hear about career development opportunities, meet other new foreign-trained professionals and employers in Massachusetts. Attendance is FREE.
Some of the topics to be discussed at this workshop
- How to find a job and build a career in the US
- Pathways to the IT, Healthcare and Bioscience industries in MA
- How the US financial system works and how to build a strong personal financial foundation in the US
- What every immigrant should know about the US immigration system
- How the US healthcare system works and how to access good healthcare for yourself and family
Participants will have the opportunity to meet and learn from successful foreign-trained professionals, meeting employers and network with other recent foreign-trained professionals for support and advice.
