Wednesday, October 135:30—6:30 PMDigital StudioMain Library3 Salem Square , Worcester, MA, 01608
Learn to digitize video and audio files you have at home in VHS and Cassette formats. Orientation sessions are for an hour - 15 minutes of instruction on how to set up and run the conversion process using the VHS and cassette converting equipment. It will be followed by a 45 minute individual session for conversion.
- Please bring a sample VHS or cassette along so we can walk you through the process of converting the physical media to saving the converted file in a digital format.
- Conversions are in real time (a 30 minute VHS tape will take 30 minutes to convert to an MP4 file).
- Plan to digitize no more than 45 minutes of video or audio.
- Patrons must bring their own SD card or USB drive, which should have a capacity of at least 2 gigabytes in order to store the finished file, if they are converting VHS. Alternatively, if patrons have access to cloud storage that can fit a file of that size, that can be used as well.
Appointments are available on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 5:30-6:30 pm.
