The story of lead poisoned water in Flint, Michigan became known to the world thanks to whistle blowers like pediatrician Mona Hanna-Attisha. Join in the Community Read of Dr. Hanna-Attisha’s account of the crisis, What the Eyes Don’t See, to learn more about how the lead ended up in Flint water and why it was so dangerous to children in particular. Along with the discussion of Flint, a panel of local experts in lead contamination and remediation will speak to the ways lead may be present in Worcester County and what is being done to raise awareness and knowledge on avoiding potential harmful exposures.

Visit Lamar Soutter Library's resource guide for a book synopsis, resources about lead, and information on lead specific to Worcester, MA.
