Join us for a showing of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie at 2:00. Following the film, we’ll have a discussion led by Danuta Bukatko, professor of psychology at the College of the Holy Cross about how the messages in the film mirror research findings from the field of psychology.

Danuta Bukatko, Ph.D. is a professor of psychology at the College of the Holy Cross, where she teaches courses on developmental psychology and gender-role development. She is the co-author of the textbook, Child Development: A Thematic Approach, and has published articles on children’s memory and cognition. Her current research focuses on the cues that children use to build their understanding of gender, power, and status.
